Titanium Oil Pan System

This innovative new system consists of a lightweight titanium shell surrounding an aluminum liner, which is the actual oil pan, complete with all necessary baffles and windage tray. The aluminum pan, designed with an interference press fit, sits inside the titanium shell and is completely removable and replaceable. In the event of an engine explosion, in most cases, the outer titanium shell remains intact, while the expendable inner aluminum pan absorbs the brunt of the damages. The aluminum can then be removed and a new liner easily ­ and quickly- installed. As an added bonus, the two-part systems weighs only a pound and a half more than a conventional setup.

Currently available for both KB- and TFX-style engines.
